Former Soviet Union
With 30 per cent of the world’s gas reserves on tap, the area of Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union is ripe for urea development – as evidenced by the fact that we have awarded some 35 licenses across the region. Stamicarbon has been active here since the communist days of the 1960s and we have a dedicated staff on the ground in Moscow. In addition to the burgeoning ex-Soviet states such as Uzbekistan, we also have a strong heritage in former Eastern Block countries like Romania (with 10 licenses to date) and Hungary.
Turkmenistan Fertilizers & Chemicals in Tejden was licensed in 2002 and uses the innovative Urea2000plus™ pool condenser concept.
