In the 1950s we were the first company in the world to introduce oxygen to the urea process as a passivating agent (it subsequently became the industry standard). In 2008, we were the first company to remove it from the process, creating a whole new performance dimension.
In between, (1960s) we developed the stripping process in combination with x2CrNiMoN 25-22-2 austenitic stainless steel - the blueprint for almost all urea synthesis in the world.
