Urea Lifecycle Support

Licensing and building a plant is just the beginning. You need to protect and nurture that investment.

We can help you achieve this through our unique Lifecycle Support approach - which puts a strong emphasis on after sales services and covers everything from planned inspections and maintenance to round-the-clock emergency support.

The urea world is a small one. It’s a people business - and Stamicarbon is fortunate to have a global team of people with unparalleled experience and expertise; in fact you could say that our engineers have forgotten more about urea than most people will ever know…

With so much on the line every day, there is no room for error or second chances, and by forging a relationship with us you’re securing ‘a license to operate’ well into the future. We can help you in the following ways:

Troubleshooting, Audits, inspections and performance assessments: Maintaining your license to operate can be challenging in a volatile manufacturing environment.

The operating conditions inside a urea plant operate dictate that corrosion inspections and equipment criticality inspections are an invaluable tool for assessing the condition not just of the plant, but also its key process equipment. We can measure and assess the remaining lifetime of tubes, lining and equipment – with special attention paid to the high-pressure synthesis equipment, and special operational facilities for start up and shut down.

Repairs and maintenance: We can advise on any repair of critical equipment and modify the equipment in such away that its life can be extended for many years (for example, relining of high-pressure synthesis equipment, which corrode over time). We can also provide detailed guidance and control during such jobs, advising on scheduled maintenance and repairs, helping with contractor appointment and assessing work quality every step of the way. We can also replace high-pressure synthesis equipment while simultaneously increasing its capacity at the same location.

Emergency services: No urea plant - no matter where in the world it may be - can afford downtime. When equipment fails, you need an immediate fix. We are proud of the fact that over the past 30 years we’ve responded to and solved countless emergencies for our customers and – to our knowledge – never let anyone down.
