    CO2 chiller

In order to increase the capacity of the CO2 compressor one can consider a CO2 chiller by means of ammonia in the suction side.

The advantages are:

  • The CO2 feed will not depend anymore on the cooling water temperature, so no winter/summer and night/day fluctuations.
  • The CO2 temperature will become some 25oC meaning a higher density to the CO2 compressor and more CO2 to the urea plant.
  • Proven design, operation and maintenance friendly system
