Abstract:
From the experience of the Yuntianhua revamp project, the following can be concluded:
Stamicarbon can revamp its CO2 urea stripping process with a load of 150 % applying a single reactor concept - even in older plants.
The required capital investment per ton of additional product for such a revamp is about 40 % lower compared to grassroots construction.
The high-pressure steam consumption of the revamped plant is similar or lower to the steam consumption of the original plant.
The ammonia emission from the urea plant is similar to the ammonia emission of the original plant.
By applying the Double Stripper Debottlenecking Technology, the revamp can be implemented without a shutdown of the original urea plant during erection.
The revamped urea plant is easy to start and easy to operate.
