Stamicarbon's partnership with the urea and ammonia plant operated by Karnaphuli Fertilizer Company Limited (KAFCO) in Bangladesh is an example of true economic and social development in action.
In the words of KAFCO "We have a flagship status for the future industrial and economic development of Bangladesh," and are a major exporter. This partnership was also significant for Stamicarbon, representing the first time the pool condensor concept was used. Because of a nearby airport, the urea plant couldn't be built higher than 42 meters. This invention was to become the basis for the new Urea 2000plus™ technology.
