Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that its licensing company and Group’s Intellectual Property center Stamicarbon B.V. has signed a contract with Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) for the supply of proprietary HP equipment and Piping for the UFN III Urea project in Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul (Brazil). The contract is the biggest ever signed within Stamicarbon urea business. The completion is scheduled for 2014.

 The urea plant will have a capacity of 3600 mtpd using Safurex® material, according to Stamicarbon’s Urea 2000plus (Pool Condenser) technology.

 The contract foresees the provision of all proprietary HP equipment, HP Piping and Valves and N/C and level measurement devices. All HP equipment and Piping will be produced using Safurex® material which is developed by Stamicarbon in collaboration with Sandvik and is exclusively available to Stamicarbon licensees.

For the same UFN III project Stamicarbon signed the Design Engineering and Licensing contracts in June 2010.
