Stamicarbon, the DSM Licensing Center signs a License Agreement and Technical Services Agreement with DKSH Korea Ltd. for Allinco® CBC technology

Urmond/ Seoul, March 9, 2007 - Stamicarbon, the DSM Licensing Center today announces the signing of a License Agreement and Technical Services Agreement with DKSH Korea Ltd. for ALLINCO^® CBC technology. This partnership will enable DKSH Korea Ltd. to sell and distribute DSM's proprietary chain extender for polyesters and polyamides in South Korea and Taiwan.

ALLINCO^® CBC is DSM's proprietary, linear chain extender additive for polyesters and polyamides. ALLINCO^® CBC works via reactive extrusion and leads to a cheaper and faster production process for linear, high molecular weight polyesters (PET, PBT) and polyamides (PA6, 6.6 and 4.6) than present post-condensation technologies. No branching or gels are produced. ALLINCO^® CBC is also very effective as coupling agent for additives or functional groups to polyesters and polyamides or to produce in situ compatibilizers/ block copolymers.
