Stamicarbon's Urea Granulation Technology available for licensing

Granulation Technology

The changing market situation made that Stamicarbon commercialized its patented fluid bed urea granulation technology, which was developed in the seventies and eighties. Recently it has been applied in a 280 mtpd plant of GPO Azot, in Belarus and was used to modify parts of an existing granulation plant of Agrium in Canada with two lines of 625 tonnes per day each. These plants have been operating at or above design capacity with excellent product quality, meeting all product quality standards.

New granulation projects

Now this innovative Stamicarbon urea granulation technology will find its first world-scale application in two new plants contracted recently for Egyptian Fertilizer Company and Alexandria Fertilizer Company in Egypt. Each granulation plant will have a capacity of 2000 tonnes per day.

Stamicarbon

While Stamicarbon is the world's leading licensor of urea synthesis technology, these two major contracts are a breakthrough for its innovative urea granulation technology.
Stamicarbon is now in the position to license the total package of urea technology: urea melt plant and finishing sections either prilling or granulation, showing once again its commitment to the fertilizer industry and its willingness to serve this technology market unconditionally and unrestrictedly.
