Most of the urea plants in existence today were built on a Lump Sum Turn Key (LSTK) basis where Stamicarbon provided its urea licensing, process design and related services through hand-picked, proven licensed contractors.

Sandvik
Sandvik is the Swedish company behind the duplex steel Safurex® - which has enabled all the critical areas of the urea plant to be built smaller, lighter, more safely and ultimately, more profitably.

Agrium
In 2002 Agrium decided to implement the Stamicarbon fluid bed granulator in two existing lines urea granulation in Fort Saskatchewan, Canada. These lines had a nameplate capacity of 544 tpd each.
