EVOLVE™ HP scrubber

The high-pressure scrubber is designed to minimize emissions from the synthesis section.

Minor amounts of non-condensable gases enter the plant in the carbon dioxide feed and as inert components of the air introduced for the purpose of passivating the plant equipment. To allow them to be discharged, they are washed with the carbamate solution from the low-pressure recirculation stage to recover residual ammonia.  The enriched carbamate solution is then fed via the high-pressure ejector to the HP carbamate condenser or Pool Condenser/Reactor, as the case may be.
