“The exchange of ideas to achieve a better result motivates me in my work”

I’m a Belgium native, born on the other side of the river Meuse, and I started working at Stamicarbon in April 2021, performing financial analysis, comparing budgets, checking that costs are under control and that financial targets are met. The open-mindedness and accessibility of everyone at the company impressed me from the beginning. During introductory meetings, we had interactive and engaging sessions where all newcomers could share their thoughts and contribute to the discussion. It’s this exchange of ideas to achieve a better result that motivates me in my work.

The mission of feeding a growing population with limited arable lands continues to be challenging. What attracted me to Stamicarbon is the opportunity to work on this challenge, together with others, in an international environment. Although Stamicarbon is a very international company, cultural differences are not an obstacle. We all have our unique cultural identities but everyone is kind and willing to listen, which makes it easier to achieve our common goals. There are a lot of good people working at Stamicarbon!
