The Challenge

Operations Advance is organized within the Business Line Services, within the Stamicarbon Organization. The department is working in a project environment, being responsible for managing all Advance projects, while at the same time delivering all relevant technological and technical knowledge and resources to define, sell, and execute the projects.

In this role you define and execute project plans for smaller projects concerning reselling equipment and on-site services and ensure that project objectives and milestones are met, within agreed budget and timing and according to agreed QHSE standards. You will manage many small projects with relatively short delivery times, often with only a couple of resources.

As a Project Manager for smaller projects, you will:
• Participate in contract risk assessments and support estimation process prior to contracting and handover;
• Participate the in vendor bid evaluation process, providing input to recommendations for award;
• Draw up a detailed project plan;
• Manage the project in terms of risk, budget, schedule, QHSE, resources, information and communication, according to the project plan and ensure that the project deliverables and milestones are met;
• Ensure customer satisfaction by handling difficult and atypical situations using existing guidelines as well as individual creativity;
• Manage the project team member and external parties; acts as liaison between project parties.

The Candidate

You combine at least a Bachelor Degree in Technical/Business Administration or an Engineering/Scientific discipline with preferably minimum 3 years relevant experience in Urea technology and/or international project management.

As potential new colleague you have ample experience in international co-operations, negotiations and communications, preferably experience in production, business research, licensing. You have good insights in the interaction between different departments and suppliers. You are able to decide not to carry out activities on site should the circumstances be deemed unsafe.

You recognize yourself in the characteristics: accurate, flexible with strong focus on service, able to work with deadlines with strong focus on results and team spirit. You have good reporting skills, you are convincing, persuasive and can communicate with clients on all levels. You are fluent in English both spoken and written.
