Proposal Manager
This position will suit a person who has a passion for contributing to the further growth and optimization of our commercial process and thereby to the realization of Stamicarbon’s challenging ambitions.
In this role you are the key team player to manage proposal processes and prepare compliant, professionally produced Internal Mandates for the commercial responsible. Therefore, you align with the Technology and Marketing Department on preparation of pertaining technical proposals and prioritization of prospects. As linking pin, you inform, activate and stimulate all relevant stakeholders for giving their input to the proposal delivery process and create an overview of prospects. You also give support to the Sales account manager in negotiation and communication processes with external parties.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the technical an/or commercial offer/Internal Mandates by coordinating assigned commercial proposals and align with the other departments on preparation of pertaining technical proposals;
- Standardize products/services offering;
- Coordinate and bring together information to create an overview of prospects;
- Prioritize prospects and align these priorities with other departments for the necessary support;
- Inform, activate and stimulate other departments for giving their input to the proposal within predefined timelines;
- Coordinate, review and edit the proposal input from the stakeholders;
- Prepare compliant, professionally produced Internal Mandates for the commercial responsible, who present the IM to the VP LSS and CEO of Stamicarbon within predefined timelines;
- Secure the proposal documents are in line with company templates and branding;
- Give support to the Sales account manager in negotiation and communication processes with external parties (customer, contractor, licenser, vendors);
- Act as the linking pin for all the relevant stakeholders that are involved in the proposal delivery process.
The Candidate
You have an Engineering background at a Bachelor or Academic level and at least 3 years of experience in an international industrial environment. It’s a pre to have affinity with sales, contract management and technology work processes.
As potential new colleague you are a strong communicator liaising with the different stakeholders and have the commercial and technical drive to make us best in class. Knowledge of international contractors and suppliers worldwide and the ability to be receptive on new technical solutions or commercials compromises are important assets in this challenging role. Your social sensitivity, tact and time management/prioritization skills are competencies that benefit your role. You are fluent in English both spoken and written.
Because of possible future developments you need to be in the possession of a European passport, in order to ensure being able to travel to a variety of countries worldwide when needed.
Furthermore, we expect from you, as our new colleague:
- Familiarity with “Prospect to Order” process, in general;
- Affinity with the design, construction and operation of processing plants;
- Affinity with mechanical services and solutions management;
- Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office.
