Introducing Stamicarbon Equipment (SEQ): Experience Meets Expertise

Stamicarbon has always been driven by innovation, applying technology with a deep understanding of the fertilizer industry’s needs. With decades of expertise in process design and materials, we recognize that reliability is fundamental—not only in the proprietary equipment we supply but also in the way we communicate and act.

To reinforce our commitment to high-quality, innovative solutions, we are introducing Stamicarbon Equipment (SEQ), positioning us as the trusted supplier for the urea, ammonia, and nitrates industries. This name builds on our legacy of developing industry-defining innovations, ensuring our customers have access to reliable, high-quality equipment tailored to their specific applications.

Meet the Heroes of Fertilizer Technology

At Stamicarbon, we believe that equipment reliability and expert support can make all the difference. Our team of specialists is ready to take on any challenge, applying their deep expertise to solve complex issues in fertilizer production. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Dr. Stami, Prof. Next, and their rival, Oxide—the stars of our new comic series, inspired by real-life case studies from the nitrogen industry.

Innovation, Reliability, and Material Expertise in Proprietary Equipment

For over 75 years, Stamicarbon has introduced groundbreaking technologies that have become industry standards. From Oxygen Passivation (1953), CO₂ Stripping Technology (1963), Pool Condenser (1990), Pool Reactor (1994), and Granulation Technology (1995) to more recent advancements like Ultra-Low Energy Design, Green Ammonia, Nitric Acid, scrubbing technologies, and digital solutions, we continue to shape the future of the fertilizer industry.

In an industry where safety and efficiency are critical, we are committed to transparency, consistency, and quality. Reliability has always been a cornerstone of Stamicarbon, so our solutions are designed to meet the highest safety and operational excellence standards.

A deep understanding of process conditions, mechanical engineering, and material science has allowed Stamicarbon to develop the best materials for specific applications. Over the decades, we have pioneered materials that have become industry benchmarks: 316L UG in the 1950s, 25-22-2 in the 1970s, and Safurex® developed in partnership with Alleima (formerly Sandvik) in the 1990s, revolutionizing equipment reliability in urea synthesis.

Today, super duplex steel is widely recognized as the standard in the nitrogen industry, and our focus extends beyond the urea industry and delivering proprietary equipment—we underline applying our experience, knowledge, and expertise to multiple fertilizer products such as (green) ammonia and nitric acid. With Stamicarbon Equipment, we ensure that every piece of equipment is designed and manufactured for durability and long-term performance, leveraging high-quality with process-specific knowledge.

Quality, Flexibility, and a Strong Supply Chain

Stamicarbon’s collaboration with specialist partners has allowed for continuous innovations, including the development of tailor-made chemical compositions. The extensive range of materials we use to produce Stamicarbon Equipment is designed to address the specific challenges of urea, ammonia, and nitrates synthesis, ensuring superior corrosion resistance and mechanical performance. We are able to supply equipment based on customer requirements, location, and operational conditions, providing greater flexibility and improved planning to optimize project execution while maintaining consistent quality and delivery timelines.

Our commitment to reliability extends to every stage of the equipment supply chain. Stamicarbon ensures thorough quality control at every step, from design to delivery. By closely monitoring the entire process and performing quality checks at crucial stages, we ensure that our equipment meets the highest performance and safety standards.

With Stamicarbon Equipment, we are reinforcing our role as a trusted partner in the fertilizer industry and beyond—offering cutting-edge, reliable solutions for a sustainable future.
