MAIRE TECNIMONT GROUP STARTS PRELIMINARY WORK ON A RENEWABLE POWER-TO-FERTILIZER PLANT IN KENYA

Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that its subsidiaries MET Development, Stamicarbon and NextChem have started work on a renewable power–to-fertilizer plant in Kenya. MET Development has signed an agreement with Oserian Development Company for the development of the plant at the Oserian Two lakes Industrial Park located on the southern banks of Lake Naivasha, 100 km North of Nairobi.

STAMICARBON SIGNS LICENSING CONTRACT FOR UREA PLANT REVAMP IN EGYPT

Stamicarbon, the innovation and license company of Maire Tecnimont Group, has signed a contract with Abu Qir Fertilizers Co. in Alexandria, Egypt, for the revamp of one of their urea melt plants (known as Abu Qir 3). Stamicarbon will deliver the license and the Process Design Package for the revamped plant, which is expected to be operational in 2025.

MAIRE TECNIMONT GROUP AND ADANI ENTERPRISES LTD TEAM UP TO DEVELOP GREEN HYDROGEN PROJECTS IN INDIA

Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that through its subsidiaries NextChem, Stamicarbon and MET Development (MET DEV) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ADANI ENTERPRISES Ltd (AEL)  to explore the development of industrial projects using NextChem and Stamicarbon’s technologies and MET DEV’s project development capabilities and expertise to industrialize green chemistry and circular economy sectors in India. The projects will be focused on producing chemicals, ammonia and hydrogen from renewable feedstock.

HENAN XINLIANXIN AWARDS SECOND ULTRA-LOW ENERGY UREA PLANT TO STAMICARBON

Stamicarbon, the innovation and license company of Maire Tecnimont Group and Henan Xinlianxin Chemicals Group Co. Ltd. in China, have signed licensing and equipment supply contracts for a second Ultra-Low Energy grass root urea plant. The virtual signing event had all the spirit of a traditional ceremony, despite participants connecting from different countries via videoconferencing. It represents the third licensing project in five years between Henan Xinlianxin Chemicals Group and Stamicarbon.

INNOVATIVE TRANSFORMATION OF STEEL AND FERTILIZER INDUSTRY TO SUSTAINABLE UREA PRODUCTION

Stamicarbon is proud to announce that it is actively participating in the consortium of the Innovative Industrial Transformation of the steel and chemical industries of Europe (INITIATE) project, as this represents one of its key environmental targets to substantially reduce the carbon footprint of the urea production by means of a symbiosis between the steel and fertilizer industry for re-using captured carbon dioxide and carbon-rich off-gasses from the steel industry.

Stamicarbon licenses new Urea and UAN plant for Gemlik Gübre in Turkey

Stamicarbon, the innovation and license company of Maire Tecnimont Group, will license the technology for a grassroots Urea and UAN (Urea Ammonium Nitrate solution) plant for Gemlik Gübre , part of Yildirim Holding in Turkey. The new Urea and UAN complex will be a modern facility with the capacity of 1,640 MTPD of Granular Urea and 500 MTPD of UAN and is located 125 km south of Istanbul,Turkey.

NEW UREA PLANT FOR TALCHER FERTILIZERS

New urea plant for talcher fertilizers marks Stamicarbon's return to India. Stamicarbon, the innovation and license company of Maire Tecnimont Group, will license the technology for a grassroots urea plant for Talcher Fertilizers Limited in India. The new ammonia and urea complex will be a modern facility that will mark the revival of urea production in the state of Odisha, Angul district, in eastern India.
