Stamicarbon achieves ISO/EIC 27001 information security management certification
With the ever-increasing interaction between the physical and digital worlds, information security is critical for organizations. It is especially important for Stamicarbon, where we strategically focus on digitalization of fertilizer plants as the future of the industry. Compliance with the ISO/EIC 27001 standard gives our customers confidence in the safety and reliability of our digital tools and solutions for plant optimization, among which are the Operator Training Simulator and Process Monitor.
The high-fidelity Operator Training Simulator accurately simulates the dynamic behavior of the plant to improve safety, prevent unplanned shutdowns and minimize production losses through effective and efficient operator training. The Process Monitor uses Stamicarbon’s unique urea thermodynamics and kinetics models to provide real-time and continuous insights into equipment and instrument performance, helping to optimize the plant.

ISO/EIC 27001 certification
Stamicarbon is part of the Sustainable Technology Solutions business unit of MAIRE Group, which obtained ISO/EIC 27001:2013 certification in 2020. In 2023 Stamicarbon also became certified along with other Group companies. The latest audit by an independent organization specialized in risk management and assurance demonstrated that the Group’s information security system has reached a good level of maturity in terms of continuous implementation and monitoring.
ISO/EIC 27001 is an international standard for information security management. According to the International Organization for Standardization, this standard defines requirements and provides guidance for managing information security risks with an established, implemented, maintained and continuously improved management system, focusing on data confidentiality, integrity and availability.
