“Engineering holds responsibility for the future of the Earth”

In 2014 I joined Stamicarbon as Research & Development (R&D) Engineer. I think engineering holds responsibility for the future of the Earth. Urea makes fertilizers used for crops and food cultivation, so effectively you are enabling the world to feed itself. This is important with a growing population. We need new technology and progression in order to be of use to society.

Coming to Stamicarbon was a very easy transition for me. The atmosphere is warmer than in the previous companies I’ve worked for. The culture within Stamicarbon is pretty Dutch. And I mean with that to be a quite flat organization. This is an advantage since there’s more effective communication.
