The Challenge
Process Engineer
In this role you perform studies and prepare Process Design Packages (PDPs) and related services for existing urea plants or adjacent technologies or for the revamping or debottlenecking of existing plants. You support the commercial licensing process by preparing technical proposals and you participate in the commissioning of revamped plants. Therefore, you work closely with our colleagues of the Licensing Sales & Services Department and with several members of multidisciplinary teams in different phased projects. You also generate new technology, optimize and improve work practices and existing designs with regard to the different production processes.
To guarantee the quality and integrity of the process designs and to improve the efficiency of our engineering process, you ensure that adequate tools (e.g. design manuals/guidelines and software tools) are available. Furthermore, you review the work of engineering contractors during the design and construction phase.
As a seasoned and well-experienced Process Engineer you have a significant role in supporting, educating and coaching our (junior) Process Engineers.
The Candidate
This role will suit a person with a relevant Bachelor/Master Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Technology. You have at least 5 years of experience in (urea) process technology, process engineering and preferably also operational factory experience, gained in an international project environment. Broad experience in international engineering contractors business is essential for adding the right value. Furthermore, you have excellent knowledge of the (whole) engineering process and the PDP deliverables and you are well familiar with flow sheeting and the use of engineering tools for front-end engineering, ESA/HAZOP/SIL studies and of VCA-VOL.
