The Challenge

Evolve Sales is organized within the Business Line Licensing, within the Stamicarbon Organization. The department executes the core business of selling licenses and related products and services for the use of Stamicarbon Technology worldwide. The commercial offering is divided into the proposing and selling of licenses, property equipment and services to the existing customers with a Stamicarbon licensed plant but also to customers with competing technology.

Proposal Manager Evolve

In the position of Proposal Manager you support the overall process by facilitating uniform, efficient proposals and other key elements of the proposal and contracting process, such as internal mandates, purchase orders, document management, contract and contract assessment development and completion. You align and standardize the Stamicarbon’ proposal process on behalf of the commercial responsible in response to commercial requests for proposals (RFPs, RFIs etc.) and in cooperation with Marketing and Technology, with relevant technology, product and business knowledge. You even have the possibility to grow to become a Licensing Manager.

As our next Proposal Manager Evolve you:
• Support the preparation of the commercial offer by coordinating assigned commercial proposals and align with the Technology department on preparation of pertaining technical proposals and related documents;
• Standardize products/services offering, including product and service description, pricing metrics and sales support documentation;
• Coordinate and bring together information to create an overview of prospects originating from our customer relationship management system (CRM);
• Represents Evolve Sales in the Sales and Operations (S&OP) meeting, facilitating efficient resource assignment in alignment with the Licensing Manager;
• Prioritize prospects and align these priorities with Sales and Operations departments for the necessary support;
• Inform, activate and stimulate Technology and Marketing for giving their input to the proposal within predefined timelines;
• Coordinate, review and edit the proposal input from the stakeholders;
• Prepare compliant, professionally produced Internal Mandates for the commercial responsible, who present the IM to the VP Licensing, Head of Evolve Sales and CEO of Stamicarbon within predefined timelines;
• Secure the proposal documents are in line with company templates and branding;
• Give support to the Licensing Manager in negotiation and communication processes with external parties (customer, contractor, licensor, vendors);
• Act as the linking pin for all the relevant stakeholders that are involved in the proposal delivery process;
• Facilitate project document management in PTO phase (Opportunity Center) for efficient progress through to contracting and handover to the respective project manager (OTC phase);
• Facilitate the proper archiving of relevant project documentation for rapid future accessing and referencing and thereby efficient future proposal development;
• Coordinates activities of a multiple disciplinary team for time delivery of relevant documentation needed throughout the PTO phase and align it with relevant stakeholders;
• Support the preparation and coordination of the technical and commercial proposal work process in Sales Launch, communicate and align with Technology, Operations, Marketing and others to secure necessary input within predefined timelines and agreed priorities;
• Participate and facilitate process improvement teams related to grass roots licensing and proprietary equipment sales processes; Establish improvement plans and report those to Head of Launch sales;
• Plan and deliver technical proposals and technical content to commercial proposals within a complex business environment which requires clear planning and communication to all stakeholders;
• Standardize processes and documentation in order to continuously improve our mandate and proposal generation processes;
• Interface directly with prospects and clients, interpreting with Licensing Manager the needs and requirements and facilitating that those needs are addressed in the offering;
• Meet deadlines issued by prospects/customers with the capabilities in the own organization;
• Work as a linking pin in a multicultural, international environment in which multiple parties are involved (internal and external networking);
• Align the priorities of the prospects of all sales managers and facilitate that the full Launch Sales project portfolio is prioritized, addressed and moved forward through the Prospect to Order process.

The Candidate

As potential new colleague you are a strong communicator liaising with the different stakeholders and have the commercial drive to make us best in class. You have extensive knowledge of the sales, equipment and technology work processes and affinity with Sales, Technology and Contract Management.
You recognize yourself in the characteristics: keen entrepreneurship, accurate, flexible with strong focus on service, able to work with deadlines with strong focus on results and team spirit. You are able to be creative on new technological solutions and commercial compromises, subject to responsibility of licensing manager. You are fluent in English both spoken and written and enjoy frequent travelling abroad.

Main job requirements include:
• At least 5 years of experience with proposal processes in an international industrial environment;
• Engineering background at a Bachelor or Academic level;
• Experience in / affinity with sales processes and affinity/experience with the design, construction and operation of processing plants;
• Affinity with process and mechanical services and product management;
• Familiar with “PTO” process, in general.
